Semantic storage search

A semantic search over connected storage is billed separately from ordinary reads and writes.

How billing works

Semantic search is the only separately billed storage operation. Ordinary storage reads and writes have no per-operation credit charge.

  • A semantic storage search costs 1 credit.
  • Rejected or failed semantic searches are refunded.
  • Storage capacity, when needed, is purchased separately as a monthly add-on.

Price in practice

Semantic search is charged when the platform performs the search, not when data is merely read or written. This keeps capacity and query activity visible as separate costs.

Permissions and capacity can still prevent a search, and an unsuccessful search is not left as a billable result.
